One feels the need to change: at work, in one's private life, with oneself. Or the world around you changes and you find yourself caught up in it. In these situations, the differential is the level of awareness of one's resources, clarity about one's goals, and focus on well-defined objectives. Understanding the change process in its entirety, in whatever sector it takes place, is crucial for channelling energies into a constructive path. The firm's professionals are experts in change and learning. We offer professional support, methodologies and tools to guide choices and manage the stages of change consciously, constructively and effectively.
The talent for change
What does it mean to change? What ideas do we associate with the term change? Innovation, transformation, improvement? Or: instability, loss, risk? Or do we swing between all these ideas?
Change is first and foremost a fact of reality in every person's life; something to be reckoned with on a daily basis. Starting from the biological-vegetative dimension that tells us that all the cells of our body change every day, to continue in the emotional dimension where we experience the succession and alternation of different feelings, passions, emotions, to the intellectual sphere where we realise that we change our minds about events and people, and make choices that introduce new elements that modify our or others' lives. We change our work circumstances, the people around us, and we could go on and on. Life itself, at every level, therefore implies change; managing change therefore means managing the different dimensions of one's existence. And yet not everything is change and we often feel a certain resistance to it. When change affects ourselves, our beliefs, certain established mechanisms, it is often arduous and difficult. We seem to be fine, cocooned in the world of our habits, and we do not realise that we are living in stalemates, stuck in paradigms that hinder novelty, openness, improvement.
It is then a matter of discovering the talent for change. Change is a value; it requires one to be constantly open to the surrounding reality, to lose the fear of taking risks by abandoning the old and to focus on the new opportunity and one's inner strength. "Breaking habits gives access to new paths, makes life more interesting, opens the door to new discoveries, brings new friends, makes a person much brighter. Agility is a vital issue and will be increasingly necessary' (Whitmore, 2011).
It is about identifying those dimensions of one's life on which we can intervene to make our actions more effective and realise our desires. The coaching relationship will help define what depends on us in the management of our lives, implement our own areas of strength and overcome obstacles to our growth and fulfilment.
How can limits be overcome? On which aspects do we need to intervene in order to understand which are the brakes to the desired transformation and which the accelerators, so as to avoid immobility and blockages in our life, professional, social path? What prevents the transition from desire to action?
These are some of the questions that are answered, and ready for action, in a coaching course. Change requires awareness and strength. Awareness to be in touch with one's inner values and get in touch with one's strength; then and only then will our energy be released and we will act according to ourselves.
