Growing Coaching Study on Donna Moderna

Based in the city centre, the Growing Coaching Studio is the space to think about career choices, cultivate emotional and relationship intelligence, and develop new skills; accompanied by a professional coach, you learn the tools and achieve results.

Setting a new career direction, improving relationships with others, learning to speak in public, developing personal well-being: supported by a certified coach, it's easier. Welcome to the Growing Coaching Studio, which offers courses aimed at rediscovering effective behaviour, making decisions, exercising skills, shaping intentions and transforming them into concrete results. "The adventure of the Growing Coaching Studio," says Laura Ravanetti, "started in the years when I was working in a company and, like many women and others, I was always running. Between one race and another, then, came the encounter with the world of coaching. 'It was 2009,' recalls Ravanetti, 'and professional coaching in Italy was still little known. But when I heard about it, I realised that it was what I also wanted, as a client, for myself: a qualified place where I could work with more structure on the results that were important to me, in the professional or personal sphere'. And individual coaching, in the Growing Studio's approach, is just that: 'a piece of the road together with a professional with a rigorous and proven process that clarifies and gives structure to desires. This is how we help to make them objective and translate them into practice, perhaps having fun and growing in the process'.

So an internationally accredited course, suitable for finding the most useful tools to face new situations, develop one's skills and solve complicated moments, supported by an expert and the right methodology. The firm's areas of specialisation are career support, emotional wellbeing and interpersonal relationships; we ask Laura Ravanetti what are the specificities in the different areas: 'In the different areas the goal, the research and the tools that have proven to be most effective change: for example in career choices we apply competence assessment models and do a lot of work to explore and bring out talent. In interpersonal skills training, we build with the client a map of his or her habitual behaviour in dealing with others and help him or her implement effective alternatives'. Among the interpersonal skills that are learnt at Studio Growing are assertiveness, which helps to respond to others' requests without losing touch with oneself, the ability to remain authentic in relationships with others, and techniques for exerting influence in a positive manner. And the topic of emotional intelligence? "That one is transversal," explains Ravanetti, "it is a key to almost all goals: you need to learn to manage your emotions well and contain your automatic responses in order to deal with a choice of change or a conflict at work, but also to feel motivated, strengthen your personal effectiveness and have positive relationships with others.

Update and specialisation in short, yes because the guarantee of professional quality is important especially in this sector, where the word 'coach' can be abused. The coaching of this vital and super-professional reality counts on a team of certified coaches who adhere to the ICF (International Coach Federation, ed.) standards of competence and Code of Ethical Conduct. "In essence," Laura Ravanetti further explains, "the code of conduct commits the coach to behave ethically, and protects the client who relies on its fairness and transparency. Certification, on the other hand, guarantees studies to the highest international standards, examinations on specific skills, continuous updating and verified hours of experience."

And with a view to updating again for 2018-2019, the new mini-lab formula is on the way. Individual coaching remains the cornerstone, but from 17 November 2018 the firm is launching small-group workshops on the most frequent topics in coaching sessions, from 'uncomfortable' emotions to ways of dealing with big changes, time management and so on. "Individual coaching gives excellent results," says Laura Ravanetti, "but counting on the comparison and support of 'adventure companions' provides valuable exchange opportunities and multiplies energy. So it's off to the rich calendar of mini-workshops, which include intensive classroom sessions in which to try out tools and contents with other participants, combined with three individual coaching sessions to foster personalised learning and implementation.

A putting into practice that has undeniable consequences, as demonstrated by the very experience of the coaches who, in addition to being guides and supports, are the first testimonials of this path. 'We believe in the models and paths we propose,' Laura concludes, 'because we have experienced them first hand and verified their effectiveness. It is precisely this that transfers authenticity and the right energy into the coaching relationship with each of our clients'. A relationship that is always attentive to the sensitivity and uniqueness of the person.
